Despite the fact that there are enough of commercial and free-of-charge Client applications for work with HylaFAX-server, we have found it necessary to create one more.

What for?

Many organizations and enterprises work with specialized software, such as systems to invoice, client bases, and others. All that because of their small scale nobody dares to name billing. J

Thus often there is a necessity to send by fax an invoice, a letter or any other document. Also it is desirable directly from the habitual interface, not wasting time on circulation between the printer and the fax machine, or on switching over to another program…

In it and there is a purpose of library Hylafx.dll - to send a fax to one click, not coming off from usual work.

It is not necessary to print the invoice on the printer and to bear to a fax machine.

It is not necessary to print in a file, to transform a format, and to send through an expensive full-function fax-client.

How does it work?

The function sendfax establishes TCP connection with HylaFAX-server to the IP-address HylaFAXServerIp

and transfers necessary parameters:

User – user name on HylaFAX-server

Password – user password

FaxPhoneNumber – phone number where to send a fax

MailAddress – e-mail for the message on result

Info – additional information

If HylaFAX-server accepts connection with these parameters, the file faxtmp.ps which contains directly facsimile message in PostScript format is transferred to it.

Where does the file faxtmp.ps come from?

The File is formed each time before a call of function sendfax.

What shold be done for that?

First of all it is necessary to add the printer «HP LaserJet 4/4M PS»

Control Panel -> Printers and Faxes -> Add Printer

Local or Network printer – Local printer(without Automatically detect)

Create new port – to name port it is possible somehow, let it be “fax”

Install Printer Software - «HP LaserJet 4/4M PS»

Printer name – HP LaserJet 4/4M PS

Do you want to use this printer as the default printer? – No

After that it is possible to use Hylafx.dll .
